How We Review LabelRadar Submissions

We listen to around a fivehundred demos every week, and we’re grateful to everyone putting their music out there. If you're submitting to us via LabelRadar, here’s precisely how we review your track.

1. First Listen: The Track Speaks First

We always start by hitting play. We listen to twenty seconds of your track. If the sound fits what we’re about. Techno, Melodic Techno, or Deep Tech. If it’s got intention, groove, and clarity, we keep going. The music needs to move us before anything else.

2. Mix & Master Check: Is It Finished?

We only review finished tracks. That means a clean mix, a decent master, and a sound that’s ready for release. If it feels like a rough draft, we won’t move forward. We’re a label, not a feedback service.

3. Artist Profile: Who’s Behind This?

Next, we look at your profile. Name, bio, and socials. Do you have a proper profile picture? Are your social media platforms active and telling us who you are as an artist? We need to know you’re honest and serious.

4. Previous Releases: What’s Your Story So Far?

If the track works and your profile appears suitable, we review your past releases. We want to see progress, quality, and consistency. If things add up, we drop the track into a shortlist on LabelRadar and give it another listen the next day. Fresh ears help us make better decisions.

5. Does It Fit the Label?

The next day, we will listen to your whole track. Even great tracks aren’t always right for us. We ask: Does it feel like Redesign Records, Redesign Melodic, or Redesign Deep? If it doesn’t naturally sit in one of those lanes, we hit ‘skip.’

6. Would We Play It?

We keep it personal. Would Sebastiaan play this in his sets or radio shows? Would one of our artists want it in their sets or radio shows? If we can’t see us play it on a Function-One at 4 AM, we hit ‘skip.’

7. Energy and Arrangement

We’re DJs first, so we listen with that mindset. Does the arrangement build right? Is the energy curve working? The structure has to be there.

8. Visual Vibe and Identity

You don’t need a media team, but we do notice if you have a consistent visual style, clean design, and a vibe that aligns with our sound. That shows you’ve thought things through before reaching out to us.

9. Artist Depth: Are You in This for Real?

We’ve released artists on their very first track before, but only when they showed us five or more finished, release-ready tracks. We probably won’t release them all because there are many great labels out there that you should also consider releasing on, but we’re not interested in one-off deals. We invest in artists building something.

Why We Hit Skip

If your mix isn’t complete, you don’t have a profile picture, your social media is empty, or it all feels disconnected, we move on. We’re building a community of focused, long-term artists. Everything you show us needs to reflect that.

We Want to See Growth

If you’re sending us music, be ready. Be real. Be visible. And send us your best. We don’t need hype. We need a clear vibe and signs that you’re here to grow.
